NYPD cop sues tennis star James Blake for defamation after he was caught on video using excessive force while arresting Blake in a case of mistaken identity in front of a New York City hotel two years ago.
James Frascatore alleges in a federal lawsuit that during media appearances while promoting his new book, Ways of Grace, Blake “libeled, slandered, and defamed” him by characterizing him as “a racist and a goon.”
He added that as a result of the portrayal of him as a racist, Blake and other NYC agencies have “intentionally discriminated against [the officer] on the basis of race.”
James Frascatore thinks he’s the victim all this. I just can’t even….
Watch the video below and see for yourself….he singled out Blake because he was black. Period. You know, they think we all look alike.
Two years ago, the Civilian Complaint Review Board determined that there was no reason for Frascatore to use force against Blake as seen in the video. Blake agreed to not to sue the city in exchange for a legal fellowship being set up in his name to investigate police misconduct.
