Donald Trump went out golfing while FEMA director Brock Long ignores San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz’s pleas for help after the power went out at a hospital.
Long dismissed Cruz’s pleas saying, “We filtered out the mayor a long time ago. We don’t have time for the political noise,” CBS News David Begnaud tweeted.

Cruz initially tweeted: “Power collapses in San Juan hospital with 4 patients now being transferred out. Have requested support from FEMA. NOTHING!”

Trump attacked Cruz as “nasty” after she criticized his administration’s bungling of Puerto Rico relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. He accused her of “poor leadership” and continued to rail against her during an interview with Mike Huckabee on Trinity Broadcasting Network. He also defended throwing rolls of paper towel into a crowd of people in a church, which is located in an upper class area of San Juan. He said they were begging him to throw the “beautiful, soft towels.”
