Broward Supt. Robert Runcie Demands Sensible Gun Control Laws after Parkland Shooting

Broward Supt. Robert Runcie demands sensible gun control laws in the aftermath of the Parkland shooting that left 17 dead and scores injured. He made the remarks while flanked by Trump allies Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Runcie said at a press conference: “Students have been reaching out to me, reaching out to staff, probably board members and others saying that now, now is the time for this country to have a real conversation on sensible gun control laws.”

Mass shooter Nikolas Cruz was able to purchase an assault rifle as well as multiple magazines despite having mental health issues. Trump decided the best way to respond to the tragedy was to blame Cruz’s classmates and neighbors because they didn’t stop him.
