Fox News caught spreading propaganda by claiming a few praying Eagles players were protesting the national anthem. They weren’t. They were kneeling because they were praying.
Fox News was running interference for Donald Trump after he disinvited the team from coming to the White House by making it all about the flag and the national anthem. It should be noted that none of the Eagles players knelt during the pre-game anthems or stayed in the locker room.

Um, that’s not what happened…..
Zach Ertz, who was shown the Fox News report, wasn’t happy about it and hit back: “This can’t be serious…Praying before games with my teammates, well before the anthem, is being used for propaganda? Just sad, I feel like you guys should have to be better than this…”

Reaction on Twitter:
The pictures highlighted in this segment are of Eagles players kneeling in prayer, not in protest during the anthem. Intentionally deceptive or just plain ignorant of Fox News. Take your pick. https://t.co/zPsouALh6D

I think today, all Eagles fans understand what @FoxNews really is. When you tell people this network lies about politics, some people just shrug. But when Eagles fans see a photo of @ZERTZ_86 praying, passed off as a player kneeling during the anthem — people can grasp that.

Fox uses images of Eagles players praying to suggest they were protesting the anthem. Highly manipulative and misleading. https://t.co/69Bftam1mN

This is what Fox News propaganda looks like.
Clearly the Philadelphia Eagles players in these clips are kneeling to pray. Fox, however, makes it seem like they are kneeling for the anthem, which is a blatant lie! pic.twitter.com/SNjW1Ndbc9

It's true that several Eagles players briefly kneeled before or after football games. That's because they were praying, something with which Donald Trump is unfamiliar.

Imagine wanting to please the boss so very badly that you run stills of guys knelt down PRAYING during pregame. Not one Eagles player knelt for the anthem this yr. Keep carrying his water to sow division while misrepresenting Christian men. Aren’t many of your viewers.. nevermind https://t.co/QdlOvL0btq

Fox News is trying to pass off B-roll footage of Eagles players praying as them kneeling in protest. It really doesn’t matter what you do if you don’t have the right skin color.

Amazing. Fox News pundits—who constantly & baselessly complain that Christians are persecuted for praying in America—hijack a picture of Christian NFL players praying before a game & lie that they're kneeling for the anthem
(FYI Eagles didn't anthem kneel for any game last year) pic.twitter.com/oIPHWY7qbz

You mean the same person who doesn’t even know the anthem himself, doesn’t condemn racist comments, mocked a handicapped reporter, ridiculed a Gold Star family, and bragged about sexually assaulting women? #PhiladelphiaEagles @Eagles You’re much better than him. pic.twitter.com/xT1NYpNsYb
