Tone deaf: Melania Trump wore a green utility jacket to Texas with “I really don’t care, do you?” written on the back. I mean….really? Was she sending a message to Donald Trump that she doesn’t care or was she insulting Americans again?

Melania Trump made quite the sartorial statement on Thursday when she donned a jacket with the words, ‘I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?’ written across the back while boarding a plane to visit immigrant children being held at the border in Texas.

The 48-year-old first lady was pictured arriving at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland wearing the $39 khaki design from Zara, before boarding her plane to fly to Texas.

She removed the offending jacket, which bore the controversial phrase in white graffiti-style writing across the entire back section, before disembarking the plane upon her arrival.  Source: Daily Mail

Um, remember when Barack Obama wore a tan suit and the meltdown that ensued? Or better yet, the freak-out over Michelle Obama wearing a sleeveless dress to the State of the Union address? But this? This is tone deaf, especially from someone who hasn’t explained how she came by a green card in the first place.

Of course, Twitter was already slamming her visit to the Lutheran social services center as a photo op, since she didn’t actually go to a detention center where children who were separated from their parents are actually being held.

Then Donald Trump trampled all over that comment by tweeting his wife wore the jacket to attack the media.
