Donald Trump attacks Statue of Liberty protester Therese Patricia Okoumou as a “clown” and that the cops should have used nets instead of helping her down with a rope chain. In other words, he wanted her to fall into a net and possibly hurt herself.
“You saw that clown yesterday on the Statue of Liberty, you saw those clowns that went up there,” Trump said Thursday at a campaign rally in Montana. “I wouldn’t have done it. I would have said lets get some nets, we’ll wait til she….just get some nets,” he said.
Okoumou scaled the base of the Statue of Liberty to protest Trump’s inhumane migrant policy that left thousands of children separated from their parents.

Reaction on Twitter:
"Michelle Obama, our beloved First Lady who I care so much about said, 'When they go low, we go high,' and I went as high as I could," Therese Okoumou, woman who scaled the base of the Statue of Liberty on July 4th, after pleading not guilty.https://t.co/CaQ3QYzIzg
