Stokes gained national attention when he was denied a heart transplant because of “a history on non-compliance,” which included brushes with the law. During his journey in 2013, he asked for a second chance. It would seem that he didn’t learn from the error of his ways.

Police say Anthony Stokes carjacked a Honda from Perimeter Mall, then shot at an elderly woman during a burglary attempt on Alpine Drive in Roswell.

The pedestrian he struck has been identified as Clementina Hernandez, 33, of Roswell.

Police chased Anthony Stokes after spotting him on Alpharetta Highway following the attempted burglary.

In 2013, Stokes told WSB-TV’s Jovita Moore, that “the heart transplant would help straighten out his life.” “So I can live a second chance. Get a second chance and do things I want to do,” Anthony Stokes said.

German tabloid newspaper Bild and French magazine Paris Match have obtained a video found among the wreckage of Germanwings Flight 4U9525. The video shows the chaos that ensued from inside the plane. It was reportedly found a cellphone that survived the crash.

The Intercept’s Ryan Devereaux and three other journalists are suing the Ferguson Police Department for battery, false arrest and unreasonable search and seizure while they covered the unrest that erupted in the city following the police-involved shooting of Michael Brown in August.

Also on the suit are German journalists Ansgar Graw, Frank Herrmann and Lukas Hermsmeier.

Devereaux and Hermsmeier allege in the suit that they were shot at by rubber bullets while walking toward the police with their hands up, identifying themselves as journalists. They said they were arrested and held for several hours, before being charged with “refusal to disperse.” They say their sustained injuries to their hands as a result of the plastic handcuffs.
