Kidnap-Slaying Suspect Adam Mayes Commits Suicide After Being Cornered Near New Albany MS

Kidnap-slaying suspect Adam Mayes committed suicide after being cornered by law enforcment agents near New Albany, Miss., Thursday evening. The two missing sisters, Alexandria Bain and Kyliyah Bain, were found safe. Mayes had been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Jo Ann Bain, 31, and her daughter, Adrienne, 14 on April 27. Their bodies were found buried in shallow graves outside the Mayes’ home a week after they were reported missing by Jo Ann Bain’s husband. Adam Mayes’ wife and his mother are behind bars for their roles in these heinous acts.

14 Year Old Indianapolis Girl Arrested for Stabbing Death of 4-Year Old Cousin Leon Thomas III

JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL:  Indianapolis police say a 14 year old girl is being held on a preliminary murder charge in the stabbing death of her four-year old cousin, Leon Thomas III. She is currently being held at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center and prosecutors will determine whether she will be formally charged for the child’s murder.

According to the Indianapolis Star, officers were called about 11 p.m. Saturday to an apartment, where they found the bleeding boy. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly thereafter. Police found the girl covered in blood and walking along a nearby street, the newspaper reports. Leon Thomas III and his 11 year old sister were staying at their grandparents’ apartment at the time of the stabbing.

Have you seen Michael Parson? A manhunt has been launched for his capture for shooting his wife, attorney Adina Parson, eight times outside their Sandy Springs, Ga., apartment. Adina Parson was shot eight times, three to the head, in the breezeway at the Residences of Morgan Falls Apartments off Roswell Road April 20. Michael Parson reportedly visited her in the hospital on multiple occasions, WSB-TV reports. That reminds of me of the sociopathic behavior of Scott Peterson after he killed his pregnant wife Lacey Peterson.

A relative told WSB-TV that Adina Parson is starting to move her arms and legs, but is still unable to speak and is in critical condition.

Police had initially cleared Michael Parson of the shooting, but they discovered inconsistencies in his statements when they revisited the crime. He is now considered on the run. Sandy Springs police believe Michael Parson is driving their 2000 green Honda Civic with Georgia license plate 527-XCS and they are offering a $14,500 reward for information leading to his arrest. JACKSONVILLE STAND YOUR GROUND: Setback for Marissa Alexander as Judge James Daniel denies her request for a new trial Thursday morning despite her “Stand Your Ground” defense against her abusive husband, Rico Gray. Marissa Danielle Alexander faces a 20-year mandatory sentence on her sentencing set for May 11. She was found guilty on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Teen Driver Dejon Wideman Charged with Vehicular Homicide, Other Charges in Death of Meadowcreek HS Student Johlonda Lindsey

Teen driver Dejon Wideman, 19, was charged with vehicular homicide in the early morning crash that killed Meadowcreek High School junior track star Johlonda Lindsey dead and injured three others while they were on their way to an after-prom party. He was caused with causing the wreck on Steve Reynolds Boulevard early Sunday morning that also left two other passengers in his vehicle,  sisters  Colleena Walker, 15,  and Kendrea Walker, 16,  injured. Dejon Wideman is also a student at Meadowcreek High School.  Police said Wideman’s Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling north on Steve Reynolds Boulevard when it veered to avoid a car in front of it, crossed the center line and was struck by a Ford Freestar traveling southbound driven by Freddie Banks, also a Meadowcreek student, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families involved, especially the family of Johlonda Lindsey. I can’t imagine how the family of Dejon Wideman must feel at a time like this. This tragedy could have been avoided. Johlonda Lindsey’s father said it best, parents must teach their children that they must wear a seatbelt when they are traveling in a vehicle. It could have possibly saved Johlonda Lindsey’s life. A car load of teenagers is a recipe for disaster and should be discouraged on all fronts.

Victor Montalvo, 22, and his gal pal Maritza Lopez, 21,  were arrested in connection with the brutal stabbing of Bronx teen Alexander Herald over a stolen iPhone on a subway train. The two have been charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, harassment and disorderly conduct. Meanwhile, Alexander Herald is listed in critical condition he was stabbed repeatedly early Saturday morning.

The teen, Alexander Herald — who was riding the train with a friend — noticed his phone was gone and spotted Montalvo holding it as the train rolled into the Fordham Road station, sources said.

Herald and his friend confronted Montalvo, and the argument spilled onto the platform, sources said. Montalvo pulled out a blade while Herald’s pal got a token booth clerk to call 911, sources said.

But when he returned, he found Herald — who had been stabbed multiple times in his head and body — lying in a pool of blood, sources said. Source: NY Daily News

I hope the judge will throw the book at these two young thugs. If you want an iPhone, damn, save your money and get one. Don’t just take someone else’s property!

Steven Murray Fatally Shoots 13 YO Sister Annie Fryar, Wounds Mother Christina Fryar-Brunson in Harlem Shootout

SHOCK:  Harlem resident Steven Murray, 28, killed his 13 year old sister Annie Fryar and wounded his mother, Christina Fryar-Brunson, before engaging in a shoot-out with police officers early Tuesday morning at the Polo Grounds Houses on Eighth Avenue.

Christina Fryar-Brunson and her son were arguing over his on-going bad behavior, the New York Post reports. She locked herself in her bedroom, reportedly heard two gun shots and came out to see Murray fleeing the apartment.

Steven Murray was wounded after a police chase and is listed in serious condition at a local hospital. The police recovered a .22-caliber revolver.

Sheneka Humphrey Charged with Felony in $9K Verizon Wireless Charity Fraud

Milton, Ga., police charged Sheneka Humphrey, a 33 year old Atlanta resident, with allegedly attempting to defraud Verizon Wireless of $9,000 through a charity scheme that led to 11 of her coworkers being terminated. As quiet as this is, it must be an embarrassment for Verizon Wireless.

Milton Police Detective Kevin Barry said between October and December 2011, Sheneka Humphrey allegedly coerced coworkers into filing false reports of hours worked for the legitimate charity she ran, Atlanta-based A Place of Motherly Love, Inc. The attempted ruse was discovered before the check was cut.

At the time Humphrey was an employee of Verizon Wireless, which is headquartered in Milton. She left the company in February of this year — before the investigation began in March — on an unrelated matter.

The company’s Verizon Foundation rewards employees who do charitable work by matching the hours with a donation to the organization of up to $750 per employee. Workers log the hours on the foundation’s Web site; the tallies are then verified by the company before payment is made.

According to the Verizon Foundation, Humphrey and 11 other employees claimed they each did 50 hours of work for the charity, meaning a donation of $9,000 to A Place of Motherly Love, Inc. An investigation revealed the 11 employees did not know how to enter the time, so Humphrey allegedly provided detailed instructions, and, in some cases, entered the hours herself from the coworker’s computer.  Source: City of Milton

Sheneka Humphrey, who was charged with criminal attempt to commit theft by taking, is currently being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail.

SHAME: McDonald’s employee Marvin Washington Jr. is facing felony charges after he spat in two customers’ cups of iced tea after the drinks were returned because they were not sweet enough. Washington was arrested Wednesday in Simpsonville, S.C., and charged with malicious tampering with food.

Greenville County investigators say surveillance video caught Washington leaning over the cups before he filled them Saturday at the Simpsonville restaurant. Authorities say the customers discovered phlegm when they removed the lids of the drinks to add more sugar because the iced tea still was not sweet enough. Source

SHOCK:  Kit Durant murdered his mother, Renette Emile, 35, in her Miami, Fla., apartment because she scolded him for staying out late on a week night. Kit Durant, 16, even threw a party while his mother’s decomposing body was hidden in the bedroom, Tuesday night, four days after she was stabbed to death. Durant, a student at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School, was arrested

According to the affidavit, he cleaned up the blood, sprinkled her body with deodorizers and laundry detergent to mask the smell and wrapped it in bed sheets. Relatives kept calling the apartment but he told them his mother couldn’t come to the phone.

According to the affidavit, Darrant was angry with his mother after they fought about him staying out late. He decided to kill her when she went to bed. While she was sleeping, he strangled her until she lost consciousness but when he realized she was still breathing, he got a butcher knife and stabbed her in the back of the neck before turning her over and stabbing her repeatedly in the body and arms until she was dead.

His baby brother was sleeping in the next room, according to the Miami Herald. He went to bed and then cleaned the crime scene the next morning. Source

I don’t know what’s happening to some of our young males and why they are prone to such violence. Earlier this week I reported about a Livonia teen, Brian Douglas White killing his ex-girlfriend’s mother and her current boyfriend in a double murder-suicide because he was upset at being dumped. It’s not just a black-on-black issue. This violence cuts across socioeconomic background and race.
