Body of Missing NO teacher Terrilynn Monette Found in Bayou St. John

The body of missing New Orleans teacher Terrilynn Monette [Terrilyn Monette] was found in Bayou St. John. Her body was found inside her car, which was pulled from the bayou. Terrilynn Monette went missing on the morning of March 2 after police said she left Parlay’s Bar, where she met an old college friend. After leaving the bar about 5:15 a.m., alone, police said a surveillance video captured her turning left on Harrison Avenue onto Marconi Drive five to 10 minutes later. That’s the last time she was seen.

Body Found in Woods Near Bridgeport-Trumbull CT ID’d as Missing Student Alyssiah Wiley

Sad News:  Human remains found in a wooded area near the Bridgeport-Trumbull line has been positively identified as belonging to missing Eastern Connecticut State University student Alyssiah Wiley. She was last seen April 20 in Willimantic en route to the university. Alyssiah Wiley was reported missing April 24.

Police found a black Nissan Altima last week near the Bridgeport-Fairfield line that they said is connected to the case, though they would not elaborate on how it was related.

UPDATE#1: Jermaine Richards, of Bridgeport, has been arrested and charged with murder and kidnapping in the death of Alyssiah Wiley.

***BREAKING NEWS:  Hawkinsville teen Robert Kane Rolison arrested for murder of Jmaal Keyes.***

Have you seen Jmaal Keyes? He was last seen April 21, when his sister dropped him off at Middle Georgia State College, where he was finishing up his freshman year.

“I’m sure if he didn’t want to go back and something was really bothering him there, he would have said something to us to lead us to some kind of understanding that something was going on, but he didn’t say anything,” Jalisa Keyes said. Source

Destiny World Church in Austell, where Jmaal Keyes and his family regularly attend, has offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to his return.

Simon Latham, Missing Tourist from South Korea, Found Dead Near Disney World Hotel

(HINTERLAND GAZETTE) — The body of Simon Latham, a tourist from South Korea, who went missing Thursday from the Caribe Resort Hotel in Orlando, was found in a retention pond Saturday morning.

Simon Latham, a British national living in South Korea, was visiting Orlando and was supposed to fly home Friday morning but never made the flight.

Police aren’t sure how Simon Latham died, but sheriff’s deputies said there was no sign of foul play.

GRIM NEWS:  Police found the body of a man in the Providence River thought to be that of missing Brown University student Sunil Tripathi, who was wrongly accused of being one of the Boston Marathon bombers. Sunil Tripathi has been missing since mid-March.

The body was discovered Tuesday evening near the Wyndham Garden Providence Hotel, by the coach of the Brown University crew team during practice. It is not yet known when the person died. The hotel is a little more than a mile from Sunil Tripathi’s apartment, located on Agnell Street, where he was last seen March 16. He had left his wallet and cell phone behind in his apartment.

MISSING PERSON:  Brown University student Sunil Tripathi has been missing for more than a week and police have very few clues to go on. Sunil Tripathi was on approved leave from the Ivy League school, when he went missing.  He was last seen in the campus area on the morning of March 16. Sunil Tripathi was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Eastern Mountain Sports ski jacket, glasses and a Philadelphia Eagle wool hat. He is approximately six feet tall, weighs about 130 pounds and has short black hair.

Sunil Tripathi left the Brown campus without his wallet and cell phone. His sister appeared on CNN Newsroom and told Don Lemon he had been struggling but stopped short of saying he was suffering from depression.

Have you seen Gabriell Crespo? The 13 year old was last seen on March 11 in New York City. Her cousin, Destiny Atiles, took to social media seeking any information about her whereabouts. Here’s the note Atiles posted about Gabriell Crespo:

MISSING…this is my little cousin Gabriell R. Crespo…she is 13 years old and never returned from school…she was last seen on 3/11/13 by M.S. 95 on Gates Ave. & Mosholu Pkwy. New Orleans Teacher Terrilyn Monnette Missing, Last Seen Outside Lakeview Bar

Terrilyn Monnette, a New Orleans teacher, has been missing since Saturday night, when she went out with friends to celebrate receiving an award for her outstanding work as a second-grade teacher at a Harvey school.

Monnette was last seen Saturday about 4 a.m., leaving Parlay’s bar in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue in Lakeview, according to the New Orleans Police Department. She allegedly told acquaintances she would sleep in her car for a bit because she had had a few drinks.

A witness told police he saw Monnette around 4 a.m. with an unidentified man in the parking lot. Her black 2012 two-door Honda Accord has not been seen since.

“We just want you to come home,” sobbed her sister, Kandice Enclade. “I just want to see your pretty face. I miss you so much.” Source

Terrilyn Monnette is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a pink and yellow sweater with blue jeans. The Times Picayune reports she has a tattoo on her left leg.

The U.S. State Department has joined the search for Garrett Hand and Jamie Neal, an American couple who disappeared in Peru, Fox News reports. The couple left the Bay Area in November on a biking expedition across South America.

Garrett Hand and Jamie Neal were chronicling their adventures with regular status updates and photographs on Facebook. Those updates ceased on January 25.

Garrett Hand and Jamie Neal were last seen on January 26 getting into a cab in Lima after taking a bus from Cuzco. There is a Facebook page set up for the missing couple.

The State Department and the U.S. embassy in Peru sent out a travel advisory about a potential kidnapping threat in the Cuzco and Machu Picchu area.

Sarai Sierra, Missing Staten Island Mother of Two, Found Dead in Istanbul

Sarai Sierra, a missing mother of two, found dead in Istanbul, Turkey. Nine people, including two women, detained by Turkish authorities. NBC News reports the Anadolu Agency reported that residents discovered Sarai Sierra’s body near ancient city walls of the Fatih district.

NTV reported that she had been stabbed to death. The Associated Press reports police had identified her by her driver’s license. Another news agency had a differing report, saying it appeared Sarai Sierra died from a blow to the head.

Sarai Sierra left for Turkey on January 7 alone, after a friend had dropped out of the trip. She was last heard from by her family January 21, when she was supposed to return home after her two-week trip. She wanted to pursue her photography hobby.

Police believe that the location where her body was found was not where she was killed. The news filtering out is very fuzzy. We pray that the family will get the answers it needs. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
