SHAMEFUL: Nearly 60 workers are calling it quits at Georgia Baptist Convention-affiliated Shorter University, over a policy requiring them to sign a statement against homosexuality, drug use, drinking in public, adultery and premarital sex. Michael Wilson, a gay tenured librarian at the university is refusing to sign the document, known as the “lifestyle statement.” Um, a bunch of religious fanatics who interpret the Bible to fit their narrow views.

WTF:  Roland Sledge, who is running for Texas Railroad Commissioner, released campaign video saying,  ”Isn’t it about time we elected political leaders that have sense enough not to pee on electric fences.” This is further proof that any idiot can run for elected office in this country. I guess after George W. Bush and Gov. Rick Perry, I can only say some crazy stuff comes out of Texas.

WTF: Twitter User Accuses Obama Administration of Assassinating LA Coroner’s Official Michael Cromier Over Andrew Breitbart Probe

Los Angeles Coroner’s official Michael Cormier died last week and sources cited by the Los Angeles Times, state law enforcement officials believe Cormier may have been poisoned. Well, the story is making the rounds on Twitter, with many under the impression that Cormier was responsible for investigating the cause of conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart’s death.

Of course, President Obama is accused for assassinating Andrew Breitbart and Michael Cromier in one tweet:

There is no evidence tying Michael Cormier to the investigation of Andrew Breitbart’s death. It just shows how things, flawed or inconclusive, take root and spread like wild fire on Twitter. Too many people are elevating Andrew Breitbart to a status of such importance that the Obama administration would go out of its way to kill him. That’s just not so.

An unidentified second grade student at Sawgrass Elementary School in Broward County, Florida, was subjected to a “brown smiley face” Photoshop treatment instead of being removed from the class picture, after the PTA realized he and another student’s parents had not consented to the pictures, the Daily Mail reports. Instead of re-taking the photograph, some genius from the PTA told the photographer David Claussen to obscure the child’s face with a brown smiley face. Duh. And he gladly complied. SMH.

Besides the fact that the parents in question seemed to have neglected to read the notice from the school about the photograph, surely the PTA representative and the photographer should have used their common sense and realized that using a brown smiley face was just downright degrading.

Rep. Allen West Claims Congressman in Hoodie, Rep. Bobby Rush, Created Security Threat

I am convinced now more than ever that Rep. Allen West (R-FL) is a MORON, yes in all caps. You will recall Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL), another media whore, was kicked off the House floor earlier this week after he donned a hoodie in defense of murdered Florida teen Trayvon Martin. Well, Tea Party darling (a man who Sarah Palin endorsed) thinks that was the right move and told radio host Laura Ingraham that his stunt caused a security concern because police were unable to recognized Bobby Rush. Um, could that be because he was a black man wearing a hoodie? Give me a break:

WEST: They’re watching us real close now. … Right now, the security folks there on the House floor are laughing about it, but initially, they did not know who it was. And hey were concerned that someone had just walked off the street, or you know, wondered off a tour group. But look, this is the type of immature gimmickry we see coming from the other side that you know, does not have any place, especially on the House floor and really in the United States. Source

I would like to know how Col. Allen West managed to con the people in his Florida district to vote for him. The man is a complete idiot and a laughingstock. It is highly unlikely that the security personnel didn’t recognize Bobby Rush, since he walked into the House chambers wearing a suit and tie, as well as with his congressional lapel pin. He was also recognized by the Rep. Gregg Harper (R-MS), Speaker Pro Tem, to speak on the floor, so exactly what is this idiot talking about?

SHAME:  The Chops & Hops restaurant in Watkinsville, Ga., has pulled a celebrity “black and bleu” sandwich from its menu after customers cried foul after learning it was inspired by Chris Brown’s physical assault against former girlfriend Rihanna. The eatery joked on Facebook, ‘Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.’

I don’t know whose “bright” idea that was, but customers ought to think twice about dining in an establishment that poked fun at domestic violence, which is far more prevalent than we care to imagine.

Jonatha Carr Expelled from FAU After Threatening to Kill Professor Stephen Kajiura Over Evolution Question About Blacks

Jonatha Carr was tased and taken to a hospital after she flipped out and threatened to kill, Stephen Kajiura, a professor at Florida Atlantic University. What ticked off Jonatha Carr? The subject of evolution. According to media reports, she repeatedly asked the professor, ’How does evolution kill black people?’, and was unsatisfied by his response that evolution does not ‘kill’ people.

Well, that wasn’t the end of the drama. She lost her temper, continued screaming obscenities and assaulting other students and staff before being dragged out and taken away by police.

Needless to say, Jonatha Carr has been expelled from Florida Atlantic University and I think before any other school admits her, she should get some medical treatment because she obviously has some very serious issues.

Talk about plain ignorance — Mack TV and a local St. Louis producer, who calls himself Nelly Da’Celeb, sparked outrage over the “Battle of the Complexions” racist beauty contest held Friday night. This ridiculous competition degraded black women by pitting varying complexions — dark-skinned, light-skinned and brown-skinned — against one another. This is just plain degrading and plays on historical divisions. Shameful, but I blame the women who stooped so low as to take part in this competition.

Riot Breaks Out at Florida Mall Over Release of $220 Nike Galaxy Foamposite Sneakers

Just as we predicted, brawls would break out over the release of Nike Galaxy foamposite sneakers. Some people are just hoodlums. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a riot broke out at Florida Mall in Orlando Thursday night and was quelled by deputies in riot gear. How shameful is that?

The wild scene erupted about 9:45 p.m. as hundreds of people packed the mall’s parking lot, hoping to buy the new shoe at midnight. As the crowd grew, a large contingent of Orange County deputy sheriffs arrived, braced for problems.

Similar shoe releases have caused violence at shoe stores across the country, but no one was hurt or arrested at Florida Mall, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Witnesses told the Orlando Sentinel that the crowd was asked to wait across the street when the mall closed at 9 p.m., but one person made a mad dash toward the Foot Locker where the shoes were to go on sale, and hundreds followed. Source: Orlando Sentinel

How materialistic have some people become when they can spend $220 of their scarce resources on a pair of sneakers? Nike shareholders and other stakeholders are laughing to the bank.
