Rick Santorum Supporter Pastor Dennis Terry Says Take A Stand Against Women Who Have Abortions

Rick Santorum is under fire over right wing pastor Dennis Terry, who told a crowd at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church in Louisiana, that  anyone who doesn’t worship God should leave the country, before calling on people to “stand up” against” gay people, liberals and women who have abortions, the Telegraph reports.

To make matters worse, Rick Santorum was sitting in the audience and was spotted clapping approvingly to this vitriol. He also received the personal blessing of Pastor Dennis Terry, who called on God’s will to be done in the upcoming election. The right wing wants us to worry about President Obama’s associations, such as Breitbart’s hatchet job on Derrick Bell, but they neglect to take a look at the people Rick Santorum is “palling” around with.

“Listen to me. If you don’t love America, and you don’t like the way we do things, I’ve got one thing to say, get out!,” he said. “We don’t worship Buddha, we don’t worship Mohammed, we don’t worship Allah. We worship God. We worship God’s son Jesus Christ.”

To a rapturous applause, Pastor Terry continued: “As long as they continue to kill little babies in our mother’s womb, somebody’s got to take a stand and say it’s not right. God be merciful to us as a nation. As long as sexual perversion is becoming normalised, somebody needs to stand up and say God forgive us, God have mercy upon us.” Source: Telegraph

Rick Santorum is no stranger to controversy, but this latest incident further reinforces the fact that he reeks of hypocrisy from every pore on his body. It’s convenient for him to tell the world how much he values his faith while trampling all over the faith of others with such total disregard for personal freedom. This is also the same person who said he wanted to “throw up” after hearing John F. Kennedy’s speech about the separation of church and state. A vote for Rick Santorum is a vote against personal freedom in this country.

Rick Santorum Endorsed Mitt Romney in 2008 Saying He Was Best Conservative Choice for GOP

The Drudge Report goes after Rick Santorum for endorsing Mitt Romney in 2008. Yeah, his words are coming back to bite him in the butt. Approximately 1,504 days ago, Rick Santorum strongly endorsed Mitt Romney for the presidential nomination instead of John McCain saying, that if you wanted a conservative as the nominee of the Republican Party, “you must vote for Mitt Romney.” Well, nobody should be surprised. We all know Rick Santorum literally talks out of his ass.

Rick Santorum to Puerto Rico, Speak English if You Want Statehood

Rick Santorum to Puerto Rico, Speak English if You Want Statehood

Rick Santorum is alienating yet another group, Hispanics, by saying if Puerto Rico wants statehood the residents should speak English. Um, Puerto Rico has been a Spanish-speaking island for eons, so they should change because a white, right wing evangelical says so? Puerto Rico was possessed by Spain for more than 400 years, what other language did this idiot expect them to speak?

Rick Santorum is feeling like He-Man, since he won two big primaries in historically racist states — Alabama and Mississippi (which are at the bottom of the barrel educationally speaking, with 29% of Mississippians frowning on interracial marriage). He insists that Puerto Rico should only gain statehood if it makes English its main language.

“As in any other state, you have to comply with this and any federal law. And that is that English has to be the main language,” Santorum told San Juan newspaper El Vocero on Wednesday.

“There are other states with more than one language as is the case in Hawaii, but to be a state in the United States, English has to be the main language,” he added. Source

In other words, Puerto Rico isn’t all that important. You see, there is no oil in Puerto Rico and tourism isn’t such a big deal in his eyes. Had this been, say Kuwait, he wouldn’t give a sh*t if English was their main language or not. Rick Santorum went to Puerto Rico to pander for votes, while insulting the residents at the same time.  He is trying to rewrite the U.S. Constitution, which  does not designate an official language. He is either oblivious or implying that Puerto Ricans are stupid to the fact that there is no requirement that a territory adopt English as its primary language in order to become a state in our Constitution.

Here’s my advice to Republicans and Independents, vote for Rick Santorum to set America back decades, where we had to fight for civil rights and women’s rights.  Rick Santorum seems to think the right wing evangelicals and the blue-collar voters who don’t want a better life for their kids are enough to hand him the nomination and the U.S. presidency. That couldn’t be further from the truth. He has alienated blacks, women and now Hispanics with his holier-than-thou attitude. He  could alienate the 4.2 million Puerto Ricans who live on the U.S. mainland, including nearly 1 million in presidential swing-state Florida.

Rick Santorum Says U.S. Should Apologize to Afghan People Over U.S. Sergeant Massacre

Rick Santorum continues to fight with himself on being a serious presidential candidate. He said that if a U.S. soldier shot and killed 16 civilians, as was the case in Kandahar province, then the people deserve an apology. Say what? Isn’t this the same hombre who said Obama shouldn’t have apologized over soldiers burning copies of Koran.

“If it turns out to be the case that this person did a horrible wrong and it was a deliberate act, a deliberate act by an American soldier and that is something we should clearly say was something that we should apologize for,” Santorum said. “That it’s not a mistake, it wasn’t something that was inadvertent. This was something that was deliberately done by an American soldier to innocent civilians. It’s something that the proper authorities should apologize for, for not doing their job in making sure that something like this wouldn’t happen, something like this should not happen in our military period.” Source: ABC News

Sure Rick Santorum, your credibility is still at stake and you are batting zero. This guy can’t stay on message and some really crazy things emanate from his lips. I am a little confused as to what qualifiers for U.S. apologies to other countries does Rick Santorum use? What makes this case so different from the Quran or President George W. Bush apologizing for a similar occurrence.

Rick Santorum says Gov. Mitt Romney “serially” untruthful and “deliberately” misrepresenting his health care record. In other words, he’s a liar. This GOP slugfest continues and it’s hilarious.

The Hill:  “What I’d like to talk about, which is offensive, is Gov. Romney out there for almost a year telling people in the Republican primary that he never advocated that RomneyCare would be a federal model, that he never advocated for the individual mandate that would require people to buy insurance,” Santorum said Thursday in an interview on CNN. “And now we find on several occasions just in the last week, article after article, interview after interview, where Gov. Romney did just that.”

Rick Santorum Attacks Obama Saying He Undermines Israel on “Every Front”

Rick Santorum is the gift that just keeps on giving for the Democrats. His latest “blistering” attack on President Obama comes over his perceived falling-out with Israel. A notion that couldn’t be further from the truth. Santorum attacked President Obama saying he is “undermining Israel on every front.” Um, really? Wait, I didn’t realize Obama was the prime minister of Israel now.

The Hill:  Santorum sharply attacked the president during a campaign stop in Ohio, claiming Obama “doesn’t recognize the historical roots of the state of Israel.””He never mentions it, never talks about it,” Santorum said.

Meanwhile, Obama met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and once again pledged America’s support to Israel. During a speech Sunday at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, President Obama also stressed his commitment to Israel’s security, saying “I have Israel’s back.” As usual, Rick Santorum is left eating crow after making reckless statements that he has no knowledge about.

Rick Santorum’s attacks against President Obama are baseless, hollow and basically without merit. Just like being a “snob” for encouraging all students to go to college, despite the fact that he has three degrees. His talking points are only geared towards garnering votes and nothing else.  Rick Santorum is your typical right wing evangelical Washington D. C. windbag.

GOP presidential “frontrunner” Rick Santorum went on Glenn Beck’s Internet-only television show to say that President Obama wants to “indoctrinate” our young people in his desire to see more young people go to college. Um, really? Was he indoctrinated when he went from undergraduate studies to law school? Rick Santorum has just proven once again, he will say whatever it takes to win, even if it goes against positions he has taken in the past.

DALLAS, Texas – Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said Thursday that President Obama wants more young adults to go to college so they can undergo “indoctrination” to a secular world view.

In an hour-long interview with conservative television host Glenn Beck, Santorum also defended his record on abortion and his vote in favor of President George W. Bush’s No Child Left Behind education law.

On the president’s efforts to boost college attendance, Santorum said, “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college, because of their indoctrination mills, absolutely … The indoctrination that is going on at the university level is a harm to our country.”

He claimed that “62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it,” but declined to cite a source for the figure. And he floated the idea of requiring that universities that receive public funds have “intellectual diversity” on campus. Source

In other words, we shouldn’t listen to President Obama because he’s trying to “indoctrinate” our kids by encouraging higher education, but we should listen to Rick Santorum and his views because he knows best, right? Intellectual stifling at its best.

I found last night’s CNN presidential debate boring and nauseating at the same time. It was interesting to see the Mitt Romney-Ron Paul tag team at work against Rick Santorum, who I thought imploded last night. But, the GOP is getting exactly what it deserves with this slate of mediocre candidates and with Rick Santorum’s implosion. If this is the frontrunner, then President Obama will be laughing all the way to a second term, easily. Rick Santorum would be a good candidate for the nomination because he doesn’t have a lot of baggage like Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney, but he has taken some rather crazy positions. Here’s an excerpt from Rise of the Center on his positions (these positions show why Rick Santorum is dangerous for not only women, but for America):

The CNN presidential debate was lackluster at best and shows that the Republican Party is in disarray, no matter how they try to paint a different picture.  Here are some comments from political pundits courtesy of Political Wire:

The Daily Beast has video clips of the seven best moments.

Paul Begala: “Santorum was clearly thrilled to be in the spotlight. But he spent way too much time splitting hairs and explaining the protocol and procedures of Washington in defense of earmarks and defending his support for Specter. As he has done in the past, he couldn’t resist picking a gratuitous fight with Ron Paul. That’s called punching down, and it rarely works. He played too much defense and too little offense. His job should have been to use every opportunity to define Romney as a feckless liberal and himself as a principled conservative. He didn’t accomplish that.”

Roger Simon: “This was the first debate in which Santorum sat atop the national polls. And he was nervous. Very nervous. So nervous that he looked like a graduate of the Bob Dole School of Debating, in which you are allowed to speak only in the impenetrable language of Capitol Hill.”

Howard Kurtz: “In the end, the debate did little to shake up the race, perhaps because the candidates–seated this time, close to one another–muted their criticism in what was the last such face-off before Super Tuesday. Even moderator John King, famously roughed up by Gingrich in their last encounter, emerged unscathed.”

Andrew Sullivan: “Maybe I’ve lost my mind after all these debates, or maybe I secretly want him to win (because he would finally expose all the insanity that has been building in this party and needs venting). But I thought Santorum was on form tonight. My sense is that he will not lose his current momentum after tonight. I didn’t feel Newt tonight. Romney doesn’t wear well. Paul was great and funny and human.”

I am dying for this circus to come to an end. I guess after Super Tuesday, March 6, we could see someone drop out, or if not, it’s on to the convention. The GOP clown car continues to make its rounds across the U.S.

Drudge Report Goes After Rick Santorum with “Santorum’s Satan Warning” Caption

Drudge Report hatchet job: The Drudge Report goes after Rick Santorum with caption, “Santorum’s Satan Warning.” Santorum says, “Satan has sights on the United States of America…” Will this be another drama of the same ilk as the firestorm Matt Drudge unleashed on Newt Gingrich a few weeks ago? People should realize by now that Rick Santorum is nuttier than a fruit cake. Conservatives have literally gone mad.

Drudge Report Goes After Rick Santorum with "Santorum's Satan Warning"

“Satan has his sights on the United States of America!” Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has declared.

“Satan is attacking the great institutions of America, using those great vices of pride, vanity, and sensuality as the root to attack all of the strong plants that has so deeply rooted in the American tradition.”

The former senator from Pennsylvania warned in 2008 how politics and government are falling to Satan.

“This is a spiritual war. And the Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country – the United States of America. If you were Satan, who would you attack in this day and age?”

“He attacks all of us and he attacks all of our institutions.”
