SHOCK:  Victor Marshall Nash, 18, was charged with attempted first degree murder, sexual battery, robbery and grand theft for an alleged brutal attack against his teacher at South Dade Senior High School last Friday.

Police say Nash allegedly raped and choked the female teacher until she passed out and left the used condom in her purse.

According to detectives, the 6-foot-1, 200 pound teen, approached the teacher two hours after the last class, put his arms around her. When she told him to stop, he body-slammed her to the floor, slamming her head. He then choked her until she was unconscious and raped her.

Victor Marshall Nash threw the teacher’s cell phone in the garbage and fled the school in her car. When she regained consciousness, the teen was gone.

Nash confessed to police after they apprehended him five hours later. The teen’s father, Victor Marshall Nash Sr., who is a convicted sex offender stemming from past child abuse charges, said he was shocked to learn of his son’s arrest, WSVN reports. The elder Nash said, “It’s just upsetting. I never wanted him to go through the things I went through.”

Zimbabwean Soldier Abducted and Sexually Assaulted for 4 Days by Female Rapists

A Zimbabwean soldier, who was seeking a ride to the city of Mutare, was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by several women over a five-day period before leaving him injured from stoning at a mountain range.

The 25-year-old soldier said he was picked up by two women and a man in a Mercedes Benz. He said they drove for about an hour before the driver diverted from the route to Mutare. He was reportedly threatened with a knife when he asked to be dropped off.

Assistant Inspector Nuzondiwa Clean, with the Manicaland police, told NewsDay, “The soldier requested to be dropped, but the driver produced a knife and threatened him with it. One of the female passengers blindfolded the complainant with a black cloth.” The soldier was taken to an unknown house where he was undressed, his phone and $35 stolen.

During the time he was held captive, he was ordered to have sexual relations with one of the women several times. He was held April 19 to 23. Clean said on the day he was released, he was taken to the Dangamvura Mountains, where his left foot was severely damaged by his captors, who left him there.

Reebok Dumps Rick Ross Amid Fallout from U.O.E.N.O Date Rape Lyrics

Reebok dumps Rick Ross amid fallout over his song U.O.E.N.O, in which he sings “put Molly (Ecstasy) all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it.” Um, that’s translation for date rape. What a pig!

Reebok told TMZ:  “Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not not believe Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”

Enough said. Reebok did the right thing. His fans should follow suit, but we all know some people just glorify these kinds of misogynistic lyrics.

Yale Battles Historic Levels of ‘Sexual Assault’ with Campus Programs Including ‘Bystander Intervention’

Sexual assault hits a historic high at Yale University. The Ivy League school came under federal investigation in 2011 after 15 students filed a complaint alleging the university is a “hostile sexual environment” and failed to deal with the incidents of sexual harassment. The group of students used a video of an alleged Yale University fraternity pledges holding a sign that read “We love Yale sluts” and chanting “No Means Yes” on campus. Money doesn’t make one a better person, considering the tuition costs around $50,000 yearly.

In 2011, the Advisory Committee on Campus Climate was formed following reports that some Yale fraternity members had chanted, “No means yes,” on campus. Yale had already been under federal investigation for allegedly under-reporting campus crime as early as 2004. The U.S. Department of Education‘s Office for Civil Rights began another investigation after the frat incident.

Last year, the Sexual Literacy Forum, a student-facilitated discussion group at Yale, was born. Fifty students signed up to participate in this year’s 12 workshops as a continuing curriculum, aimed at giving students a safe place to ask questions without fear or shame. Among the topics are safe sex, sexually transmitted diseases and self-pleasure, according to co-director Paulina Haduong, a senior studying linguistics.

“The more people talk about these things, the better the sexual climate on campus,” Haduong said.

At Yale, women’s groups and some students say that the university’s climate has improved but that more work is needed.

“Although my sense is that women tend to feel safe on campus and have increased confidence in the university’s handling of sexual assault reports, the problem of campus sexual assault at Yale is significant and troubling,” said Suzanna Fritzberg, public relations coordinator for The Yale Women’s Center. “The Yale administration has made a concerted effort to take campus sexual assault seriously.” Source

CNN’s Candy Crowley and Fredericka Whitfield Steubenville Coverage Slanted towards Rapists

CNN Senior Political Correspondent Candy Crowl...

CNN’s Candy Crowley and Fredericka Whitfield Steubenville Coverage Slanted to Rapists (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Candy Crowley should be ashamed of herself for expressing sympathy over the guilty verdict handed down by the judge in the Steubenville rape case. She focused on what effect the verdict will have on the two teenagers and not on the victim. In fact, CNN continued to slant its coverage throughout the day in favor of the two rapists — Trent Mays, 17, right, and Ma’lik Richmond, 16. There’s just one word to describe Candy Crowley and CNN’s coverage — reprehensible.  I soured on Fox News a long time ago and now I am heading that way with CNN.

CNN’s coverage of the verdict in the Steubenville rape case appeared to be curiously weighted on Sunday, focusing on the effect the guilty verdict would have on the lives of the now-convicted rapists and their families, rather than that of the victim and her family.

Steubenville High School football players Trent Mays, 17, and Ma’lik Richmond, 16, were accused of raping a severely intoxicated 16-year-old West Virginia girl who also attends the Ohio school. Thousands of text messages introduced in the case presented a picture of teens swapping graphic stories about the assault.

In a Sunday afternoon segment, anchor Fredricka Whitfield followed the straight news of the guilty verdict (which she described as rape occurring “after a night of heavy partying”) by showing the rapists’ parents’ weeping in court. Footage of Richmond, his mother and father offering emotional appeals to the victim’s family dominated the segment.

Whitfield threw the story to reporter Poppy Harlow, but not before reiterating that Mays and Richmond’s “family members tried their hardest to plead for some forgiveness from the victim’s family, as well as from the judge.”

To her credit, Harlow appeared to try and correct the segment’s tone: “That’s true Fredricka,” she said of the tears of the convicted rapist’s families, “but this is an incredibly serious crime, it’s the crime of rape.”

And yet, the effects of the rape on the victim seemed to be an afterthought: “It was incredibly emotional, it was difficult for anyone in there to watch those boys break down,” Harlow said. “[It was] also difficult, of course, for the victim’s family.” Source

It’s pretty shameful that CNN should take such a position. Fredericka Whitfield picked up with Candy Crowley left off. I am appalled that as a woman, Candy Crowley, Poppy Harlow, and Fredericka Whitfield would take such a position. Rape is rape, whether they were partying heavily or not. The teenager will have to live with this for the rest of her life. Instead of grieving for the ‘promising lives’ ruined by the verdict, how about the victim’s life? Imagine what she must be going through knowing she was raped by these teens, one of whom she had a crush on, and seeing the incident plastered all over social media.

If the truth be told, Trent Mays and Ma’lik Richmond got off with a slap on the wrist. In some states they would not have been charged as juveniles, but as adults. They will have to register as sex offenders once they have served their sentences. That will follow them until they go to their graves.

Los Angeles Angels’ Torii Hunter was placed on the restricted list Monday after his teenage son, Darius McClinton-Hunter, was arrested for sexual assault of a child. The town of Prosper, TX, issued a news release announcing the 17  year old’s arrest, along with four others, during a monthlong investigation of sexual assault of a child, which is a second-degree felony. The town of Prosper has been in the news lately, particularly with the drama erupting in the bitter divorce of Deion Sanders and his estranged wife, Pilar Sanders. Darius Hunter, who lives in McKinney,  played on the Prosper High football team last season, along with his two brothers. More charges are forthcoming.

Torii Hunter’s tweet:

UPDATE #1 (05/18/12): Todd Shapiro, attorney for Torii Hunter’s son, Darius McClinton-Hunter, says they have a tape of the 16 year old victim recanting her story.”In that recording, she essentially has recanted everything. There wasn’t any sex. He has never forced her to have any sexual contact with him, and especially on this particular night,” Shapiro said. “The alleged victim has done a complete 180 turn,” ABC News affiliate KABC reports.
