A one-year-old boy was accidentally shot and killed by a three-year-old boy at a home on East 63rd Street in Cleveland, OH, on Sunday. The medical examiner identified the decedent as Braylon Robinson, ABC 5 reports.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said the person responsible for bringing the gun into the home and leaving it within reach of a small child may face charges. He blamed America’s preoccupation with handguns as the underlying problem.

Was that booty call really worth leaving her son in the woods? Shameful. Absolutely shameful.

Williams said, “The fascination with handguns, not just in the city, but in the country, has to stop. We need to take a long look at what we’re doing on the state, local and national level to keep these guns out of our communities.”

Denise Chiffon Berry killed

Denise Chiffon Berry, 44, was shot and killed, her 12-year-old son injured on Wednesday, by a complete stranger as they drove in Hawthorne, Calif., because they laughed at him.

Berry and her son passed a Cadillac with three men, one of whom had his legs dangling out of the window. The mother and son allegedly laughed, but someone was upset when he made eye contact with the boy.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, Lt. Dave Coleman said, “This is what the little boy is saying. ‘Mommy says, “Look at that, isn’t that funny?” and they made eye contact. She drove on and they began following her,” the Daily Breeze reports.

Denise Chiffon Berry feared for her life when she discovered the car following them for three blocks. She pulled over in the 14200 block of Kornblum Avenue to tell a police officer who was parked on the street monitoring traffic. The officer told Berry to park in front of him and he would investigate the occupants of the Cadillac.

While Berry was parking, the Cadillac pulled up and the man in the front passenger seat jumped out and shot her and her son. The police fatally shot the gunman.

Denise Chiffon Berry’s son is expected to make a full recovery.
