Virginia GOP Attacks Hillary Clinton with Monica Lewinsky Bumper Stickers

GOP’S MONICA LEWINSKY BUMPER STICKERS: “Monica Lewinsky’s X-Boyfriend’s Wife for President.” That’s how low the Virginia Republican Party has sunk, blaming Hillary Clinton for her husband’s indescretions. Retired journalist Carole Donoghue said she found a stack of bumper stickers at the Fairfax County Republican Committee headquarters in Fairfax. In case the state GOP tries to deny they had anything to do with the bumper stickers. The small print says it all: “Authorized by Republican Party of Virginia.”

Here’s more from the Talking Points Memo:

Carole Donoghue, a retired journalist, said she found the bumper stickers at Fairfax County Republican Committee headquarters in Fairfax, Va. The bumper stickers read “Monica Lewinsky’s X-Boyfriend’s Wife for President.” In small print, they included the words “Authorized By Republican Party Of Virginia.”

Donoghue talked to TPM hours after a spokesperson for Republican Party of Virginia denied the state party had anything to do with the anti-Hillary bumper stickers. The spokesperson told the Washington Post that the stickers were “an amateur effort” and the state party’s strategy “does not involve that.”

Donoghue’s discovery, however, raises questions about the denial.

Donoghue said she was out walking her dog on Sunday when she found an older man sitting on the pavement who looked like he “wasn’t doing well.” The man told her he was out campaigning for the Republican Party, and that he was diabetic and needed insulin, she said. Worried about the man’s condition, Donoghue drove him back to the county Republican Party headquarters.

New CNN Hillary Clinton Poll Spells Disaster for GOP Tying Her to Obama

New CNN Hillary Clinton Poll Spells Disaster for GOP Tying Her to Obama

A new CNN poll finds a heap of trouble in store for the Republican Party in their quest to take down Hillary Clinton, by tying her to President Obama. The poll found that most Americans believe Hillary Clinton will do a better job than President Obama on every issue. Um, in other words, the GOP is in trouble if they believe attacks on President Obama will drag down Mrs. Clinton.

More from CNN:

Clinton served as America’s top diplomat during Obama’s first four years in office, so it may not be surprising that some of her best marks in the poll come on overseas issues: 63% say she would do a good job on foreign policy and 61% say the same on terrorism.

But it is notable that 63% say she’d do a good job handling the economy, and 57% believe she’d handle health care well.

Now compare those to Obama’s latest job approval ratings on those same issues.

Just 38% questioned in the CNN poll say that they approve of how the President’s handling the economy. That’s 25 percentage points lower than the number who think Clinton would do a good job on the economy. Only 40% approve of Obama’s foreign policy, 23 points lower than Clinton.

The fact is, the Republicans are quickly running out of talking points to attack Hillary Clinton. Monica Lewinsky and Benghazi don’t have the sting as they had hoped. Attacking her on her health — Karl Rove saying she has brain damage — worked against them, not Mrs. Clinton. That was a total disaster. Let’s also add the fact that Bill Clinton is the most admired president of the last 25 years poses a huge problem for the GOP in its attacks against one-half of the Clinton team. The fact is, you can’t lump Hillary Clinton with Barack Obama. That’s just fruitless. Besides, she ran against Barack Obama in 2008 and voters can pretty much tell the difference between the two.

Monica Lewinsky Pops Up Again, Now Ready to Bury the "Blue Dress"

Monica Lewinsky Pops Up Again, Now Ready to Bury the “Blue Dress”

Sheee’s back…Monica Lewinsky, that’s who.  She’s right in time for the presidential election cycle, even though Hillary Clinton hasn’t said whether she’s running or not. All that’s left now is for Paula Jones to rear her head and give her two cents.

Monica Lewinsky writes in Vanity Fair (set to hit newsstands on May 13) that “it’s time to burn the beret and bury the blue dress.” She also writes, “I, myself, deeply regret what happened between me and President Clinton.” So, is that why we are still hearing from her in 2014?

It’s worth noting that Monica Lewinsky purposefully steered away from using the word “affair” but says she had a “consensual relationship” with Bill Clinton. It sounds like she was deluded into thinking there was something long-term about their relationship and that Bill Clinton would leave his wife. As far as she was concerned, her “consensual relationship” with the former president had the potential to be lasting. Um, wrong.

After 10 years of virtual silence (“So silent, in fact,” she writes, “that the buzz in some circles has been that the Clintons must have paid me off; why else would I have refrained from speaking out? I can assure you that nothing could be further from the truth”), Lewinsky, 40, says it is time to stop “tiptoeing around my past—and other people’s futures. I am determined to have a different ending to my story. I’ve decided, finally, to stick my head above the parapet so that I can take back my narrative and give a purpose to my past. (What this will cost me, I will soon find out.)”

Maintaining that her affair with Clinton was one between two consenting adults, Lewinsky writes that it was the public humiliation she suffered in the wake of the scandal that permanently altered the direction of her life: “Sure, my boss took advantage of me, but I will always remain firm on this point: it was a consensual relationship. Any ‘abuse’ came in the aftermath, when I was made a scapegoat in order to protect his powerful position. . . . The Clinton administration, the special prosecutor’s minions, the political operatives on both sides of the aisle, and the media were able to brand me. And that brand stuck, in part because it was imbued with power.” Source: Slate

While the Republicans’ Benghazi obsession hits a crescendo, they will try to attack Hillary Clinton but, while I am not a betting person, I will wager to say, that tactic will backfire. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) called Bill Clinton a predator. One problem with that — Monica Lewinsky said it was a consensual relationship. So, there goes that GOP talking point. Further, it seems that she has preempted the Republican Party’s #Blowhazi scandal. Here’s more on what Rand Paul said:

Well, you know, I mean the Democrats one of their big issues is they have concocted and says Republicans are committing a war on women. One of the workplace laws and rules that I think are good is that bosses shouldn’t prey on young interns in their office, and I think really the media seems to have given President Clinton a pass on this.

He took advantage of a girl that was twenty years old and an intern in his office. There is no excuse for that, and that is predatory behavior, and should be something we shouldn’t want to associate with people who would take advantage of a young girl in his office. This isn’t having an affair. I mean this isn’t me saying he’s had an affair we shouldn’t talk to him. Someone who takes advantage of a young girl in their office. I mean really? And then they have the gall to stand up and say Republicans are having a war on women.

Don’t get me wrong, Bill Clinton disrespected the Oval Office and his wife, when he cheated with a girl who could have been his daughter, age-wise, but do we have to keep having to deal with this woman every couple months? She was just as wrong as Bill Clinton. She knew he was married. She had ulterior motives in mind because she kept the dress with his semen stain. Maybe she was bullied and yeah, it’s a free country so she has a right to speak, but do we have to rehash this mess again?

Presidential Hopeful Rand Paul Suggests Cutting Government Benefits for Unwed Mothers

GOP presidential hopeful Sen. Rand Paul suggests cutting government benefits for unwed mothers who have multiple children, saying “maybe we have to say enough’s enough, you shouldn’t be having kids after a certain point.” He ‘clarified’ the comments, saying “It’s not that I’m against children – I come from a large family.””In the right context, it can lead to a great life, but in the wrong context, it really can be a burden for those who aren’t yet married,” CNN reports.

Sen. Paul, who resurrected Monica Lewinsky as a way of diminishing Hillary Clinton’s possible 2016 presidential run for something her ‘predatory’ husband did, made the comments about unwed mothers during a luncheon on Lexington, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports, in response to a question about workforce development.

Paul told the audience that being “married with kids versus unmarried with kids is the difference between living in poverty and not.”

“We should sell that message,” Paul said. “Not in a mean way to tell people who already have made a bad decision, but if you’ve had one child and you’re not married, you shouldn’t have another one.”

Speaking about high school students, Paul warned that “if you have children before you are married, the poverty rate is just astronomical.”

“We need to be telling kids ‘don’t have kids until you’re married,'” Paul said. “It’s your best chance to get in the middle class is not to have kids. There’s all kinds of ways, and we can debate … but there are all kinds of ways to stop having kids.”

He continued: “You know, but we have to teach our kids that. But some of that’s sort of some tough love too. Maybe we have to say ‘enough’s enough, you shouldn’t be having kids after a certain amount.’ I don’t know how you do all that because then it’s tough to tell a woman with four kids that she’s got a fifth kid we’re not going to give her any more money. But we have to figure out how to get that message through because that is part of the answer. Some of that’s not coming from government. It needs to come from ministers and people in the community and parents and grandparents to convince our kids to do something different.”

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 30.9 percent of families led by a single mom were living in poverty in 2012, compared to 6.3 percent of families led by a married couple and 16.4 percent of families led by a single father. Source:  Lexington Herald-Leader

Paul didn’t directly endorse the suggestion of cutting government benefits for unwed mothers, but admitted that it may be unpopular and difficult to implement. Um, then why say it?

Drudge Report Continues Attack on Newt Gingrich Over Bill Clinton Affair with Monica Lewinsky

Drudge Report Continues Attack on Newt Gingrich Over Bill Clinton Affair with Monica Lewinsky

Matt Drudge and his lackeys continue attacks on Newt Gingrich, particularly his stance on former president Bill Clinton’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, though he was cheating with his jump-off-turned-wife Callista Gingrich. This attack also includes the latest revelation that the Gingrich campaign never offered witnesses to ABC News to refute claims his ex-wife, Marianne Gingrich, made that  he wanted an “open marriage.”

The Drudge Report also stepped up attacks on Newt Gingrich’s claims of a close working relationship with former president Ronald Reagan. It’s all very interesting to watch the infighting among conservatives over a presidential nominee to meet President Obama in November. I will agree with Ann Coulter, for perhaps the second time in recent years, a Newt Gingrich candidacy will mean a second term for President Obama. So, bring Newtie on!

Here are the links from the Drudge Report:

You see, Matt Drudge couldn’t give a sh*t about Bill Clinton, he is just pushing this mess because he can’t stand Newt Gingrich, for whatever reason. Well, I love watching the Republicans trip over one another. This only plays in the hands of Barack Hussein Obama.

Drudge Report Goes After Newt Gingrich Over Monica Lewinsky Sex Comment

Drudge Report Goes After Newt Gingrich Over Monica Lewinsky Sex Comment (Drudge Report)

The Drudge Report is after Newt Gingrich again and this time, they’re playing on his hypocrisy with a flashy caption:  NEWT: I WASN’T KNOCKING LEWINSKY SEX… Like he should be talking about Monica Lewinsky with his one-time jump-off-turned wife Callista Gingrich. There seems to be a problem with the link.

Here’s a snippet from (from Univision interview): “Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich came out swinging this morning when accused of being a hypocrite for blasting then President Bill Clinton for having an affair at the same time he was cheating on his own wife.  During a wide-ranging interview –” and there are only wide ranging, I’ve never seen a narrowly focused interview, have you?  At least described in the media as a narrowly focused interview. No, a wide-ranging interview.  “– wide-ranging interview with Spanish language television Univision, Gingrich said he wasn’t criticizing the sex.”  I wasn’t knocking the sex in the Lewinsky story.  I was knocking Clinton lying under oath. ”

Um, Newt Gingrich knocking Bill Clinton on lying under oath? What an egomaniac and sociopath rolled into one. Right Newt, you are so credible on the topics of lying under oath and marital fidelity. HYPOCRITE.

On another note, Newt Gingrich was grilled by Univison’s Jorge Ramos and got a smackdown after being told, matched up to President Obama, Hispanics chose Obama, not him, and he “could lose the election” with his poll numbers in the Latino community.  Here’s are some excerpts from the New York Times:

Mr. Gingrich is aggressively courting Hispanic voters in Florida and he has scheduled several events before the primary on Jan. 31 focused on Hispanic issues, including a speech on Latin American policy.

But Mr. Ramos noted that in a poll released Wednesday by Univision, ABC News and Latino Decisions that matched Mr. Gingrich against President Obama, a vast majority of Hispanic voters chose Mr. Obama.

“You would lose the general election with these numbers,’’ he warned.

Jorge Ramos went where John King, Bret Baier, Anderson Cooper and Brian Williams didn’t go — straight for the jugular with his questions.

Asked what he thought of Mitt Romney’s idea that illegal immigrants would “self-deport” if they are denied jobs and services, Mr. Gingrich snorted, then answered, “I think you have to live in worlds of Swiss bank accounts and Cayman Island accounts and automatic $20 million a year income with no work to have some fantasy this far from reality.’’

He accused Mr. Romney of lacking “concern for the humanity of the people who are already here.’’

But when Mr. Ramos pressed him on why, if he were compassionate, he did not support the Dream Act, which would offer some illegal immigrants brought to this country as children a path to citizenship – President Obama called on Congress to pass the bill in his State of the Union address on Tuesday — Mr. Gingrich said he was for “half the Dream Act,’’ giving citizenship to people who enlist in the army.

Mr. Ramos said that two million students were brought to the country as children by illegal-immigrant parents and that Mr. Gingrich favored policies “punishing” them.

“They can go to college,’’ Mr. Gingrich demurred. “I wasn’t suggesting we run around and try to deport them. I have suggested that if they want to become citizens, they can join the military.’’

The interview touched on his ex-wife Marianne Gingrich’s open marriage accusations:

“Do I blame you for asking? No, let me explain,’’ Mr. Gingrich said, and he went on to say he had been angry at ABC News for interviewing his former wife, Marianne Gingrich, while not interviewing people the Gingrich campaign suggested would rebut the account. His campaign fought with ABC for equal time “because it’s a lie,’’ he said. “It’s not true.’’

Mr. Ramos then suggested that Mr. Gingrich had been hypocritical, as House speaker, to lead impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair at a time he himself was in an adulterous relationship. “At the same time you were doing exactly the same thing,’’ Mr. Ramos said.

Mr. Gingrich pushed back, making the case that Mr. Clinton was impeached for lying under oath, a felony, not for an extramarital affair.

“I understand,’’ Mr. Ramos said, “but people think that’s hypocritical to criticize President Clinton for doing the same thing that you were doing at the same time.”

Newt Gingrich can’t help himself. He’s a HYPOCRITE.

Newt Gingrich Ex-Wife Marianne Says He “Lacks Moral Character” to Serve as President

Marianne Gingrich, ex-wife of GOP presidential hopeful and egomaniac Newt Gingrich, says he lacks the moral character to serve as president. Marianne Gingrich said “his campaign positions on the sanctity of marriage and the importance of family values do not square” with what she saw during their 18 years of marriage, ABC News reports. She told ABC News, he wanted an open relationship in which he had a wife and a jump-off (Callista Gingrich), but she said no. Mind you, this was the same time this egomaniac was calling for former president Bill Clinton’s impeachment after the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.

Hey, scandals involving women sunk Herman Cain’s campaign. It should do the same thing for Newt Gingrich, with his hypocritical and self-righteous self.

She said Newt moved for the divorce just months after she had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, with her then-husband present. “He also was advised by the doctor when I was sitting there that I was not to be under stress. He knew,” she said. Source: ABC News
