WTF: Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert Nominates Newt Gingrich For House Speaker

There are still a few morons masquerading as lawmakers in the U.S. Congress, including Louie Gohmert, who nominated Newt Gingrich for House Speaker. The Texas lawmaker said, “You don’t have to be a member of the body to be speaker.”

His motion was not seconded by any other members, and House Speaker John Boehner was reelected by a voice vote, followed by a standing ovation. As he delivered his acceptance speech, Boehner responded to his colleague’s unexpected nomination. “Louie, I love you too,” Boehner said.

Louie Gohmert’s constituents should have buyer’s remorse at this juncture. I knew he wasn’t wrapped too tight but dang….
