SALEM MURDER-SUICIDE:  The family of five found dead in a Salem, Ore., home in an apparent quadruple murder-suicide, have been identified as Nikolay Lazukin, 27, and his wife, Natalya Lazukin, 26, and their three young daughters, Angelica Lazukin, 3, Zoe Lazukin, one year old and Sefi Lazukin, an infant. Two of the children and their mother died from gunshot wounds, the infant died from asphyxiation. The body of another man was found near the roadway on Fisher Road NE, blocks away from the couple’s home. Police had initially responded to a call for a fire and found the bodies in the home. Nikolay Lazukin was found dead in his vehicle in nearby Cottage Grove, OR. The Oregonian reports  Nikolay Lazukin was taking classes at Chemeketa Community College in Salem and his wife Natalya worked as a nursing assistant.

Lewman and police said that Natalya Lazukin, 26, Angelica Lazukin, 3, and one-year-old Zoe Lazukin all died as a result of gunshot wounds to the head. Sefi Lazukin, an infant, probably died of asphyxiation but was not shot, Lewman said.
