House Speaker John Boehner deserves to be kicked out of office, as was the case with Eric Cantor. The lawsuit he is threatening to file against President Obama for using executive orders to get around a D0-Nothing Congress is nothing but a distraction meant to foment the right wingnuts taking over the GOP.
It’s pretty damning when the staunchly conservative Erick Erickson is telling the House GOP to ‘man-up’ over the Obama lawsuit.
John Boehner and the House Republicans may lack the testicular fortitude to fight President Obama, but I would kindly ask that he save the taxpayers further money on a political stunt.
John Boehner and the House Republicans want to sue the President of the United States. Instead, they should man up.
227 years ago, when the founders of the nation set about drafting the constitution, they gave the House of Representatives the exclusive power to initiate revenue bills and impeach the Executive. That the House would sue the President over his use of executive power is an indication that its leadership no more values their own powers under constitution than the President they sue.
Erickson’s rebuke comes in response to John Boehner’s op-ed for CNN in which he explained why he pursuing a lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. Funny he wasn’t so vocal when George W. Bush went all out with his executive orders.
I might also add, such shenanigans have continued to embolden the fringe elements in the Republican Party to go full force with their offensive and racist rhetoric against Barack Obama. Just this past week, during the July 4th parade, in Norfolk, Neb., a float of President Obama’s presidential library as an outhouse sparked controversy. But it all got a lot of cheers from the fringe elements. So, thanks Speaker Boehner, along with Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Michele Bachmann, and others, you have managed to make the GOP a live grenade for black and Hispanic voters. The racist disrespect of Barack Obama continues….Shameful.
