HOUSTON (KIAH) — One person has died in a motorcycle accident in the Lynchburg neighborhood of eastern Harris County, authorities said.
Harris County sheriff’s deputies said the crash happened around 7 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of I-10 East and Spur 330.
Two people were on the motorcycle, which, according to the deputies, was going too fast. The motorcycle crashed into a fence on the south side of the roadway.
According to police, the man behind the wheel of a motorcycle died on the spot an hour after the accident.
The woman who was riding behind the bike was taken to the hospital, her condition is stable, but she is badly injured.
The case is still being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Motor Crime Squad.
