AUSTIN (KXAN) — Someone in the Austin area got $1 million richer after winning a Powerball prize. Austin Central Gas Station sold out the winning ticket for Powerball Monday.
A gas station called Muchos 3 is located at 3201 N. Lamar Boulevard. The ticket matched all five numbers for $1 million. If the ticket also matched the Powerball, it would be worth $416 million.
A Round Rock gas station called Luck Zone has sold two winning tickets in the last month.
Central Texas Lottery Winners
Central Texas has been lucky lately with a few lottery wins. On December 22, a winning $1 million lottery ticket was sold at Round Rock.
Then, on December 19, a Liberty Hill resident received a $1 million prize by purchasing a QuikTrip ticket at Cedar Park.
On November 15, an Austin resident won $1 million by buying a lottery ticket in Elgin.
In early November, another convenience store, Cedar Park, sold a $1 million Powerball ticket, and another person took home $1 million by purchasing a ticket from the Round Rock store.
