TN State Sen. Stacey Campfield Jokes About ‘Assault Pressure Cookers’ Used in Boston Twin Bombing

Some people have no class and no tact. Tennessee Republican State Sen. Stacey Campfield joked on his personal blog about “assault pressure cookers” in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon twin bombings, the Tennessean reports.

“Under a headline that referred to U.S. Sen. Diane Feinstein, one of the leading proponents of gun control, Campfield cataloged the dangerous features on a pressure cooker, including a ‘muzzle break thingy,’ ‘tactical grip’ and ‘evil, black’ color.”

Stacey Campfield refused to apologize when he was asked about his insensitive comments and said liberal commentators should be calling for “crock pot control” if they were consistent with their calls for stricter gun control. Um, I guess Stacey Campfield didn’t hear about suspected Boston bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev having guns as well.
