I never thought I would say it, but there’s someone even dumber than Sarah Palin and Rep. Michele BachmannSuzanne Somers. The Wall Street Journal ran a column called The Affordable Care Act Is a Socialist Ponzi Scheme,” written by Somers. You will recall her role as Chrissy (Christmas Snow) on “Three’s Company.” That says it all. Add her stint as spokeswoman for ThighMaster to the mix and you’ll get why this is hilarious. The column is riddled with errors, but that facts never stopped the right wing before.

Somers warns:  Medical care will be degraded, the costs will skyrocket, and most frightening of all, your most intimate and personal information is now up for grabs. And then there is another consideration: It’s the dark underbelly of the Affordable Care Act reminiscent of what Lenin and Churchill both said. Lenin: “Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.” Churchill: “Control your citizens’ health care and you control your citizens.” Source: Business Insider

When did Suzanne Somers ever worry about medical insurance, particularly during her cancer ordeal, when she was able to get the best care money could buy because of her wealth? Suzanne Somers is about as credible as Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. What a joke.

The column ran in Wall Street Journal‘s “The Experts” section, touted as “an exclusive group of industry, academic and cultural thought leaders who weigh in on the latest debates.”Um, I guess April Fools Day came months too early.  By the way, the rant has had a few revisions already:

An earlier version of this post contained a quotation attributed to Lenin (“Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the socialist state”) that has been widely disputed. And it included a quotation attributed to Churchill (“Control your citizens’ health care and you control your citizens“) that the Journal has been unable to confirm.

Also, the cover of a Maclean’s magazine issue in 2008 showed a picture of a dog on an examining table with the headline “Your Dog Can Get Better Health Care Than You.” An earlier version of this post incorrectly said the photo showed and headline referred to a horse.

Let’s defund Obamacare because her Canadian sister-in-law once got sick in Canada and had to wait months to see a general practitioner. She vomited for at least 60 days straight. Canadacare didn’t work and Obamacare won’t work either, in Chrissy’s mind. LOL. In case you have forgotten the Suzanne Somers that blanketed out late-night television screen, here you go:
