Six people were injured after gunfire erupted early Saturday at the Caribbean festival in south Houston. One person is said to be in critical condition.
Houston police said in addition to the four men hurt in the shooting, two women were hurt in the stampede for the exits following the attack.
The Jouvert Festival party, which was a part of the month-long Houston Caribbean Festival, was held at the San Miguel Arena and was set to run until 6 a.m. Saturday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The gunfire erupted shortly before 2 a.m. when someone fired into the crowd.
