FAA Flight Restrictions Over Ferguson Extended for News Helicopters

The Federal Aviation Administration flight restrictions over Ferguson, Mo., have been extended to Aug. 25. Aircrafts are restricted from flying under 3,000 feet in the area as protests continue over the shooting death of unarmed black teen Michael Brown.

The FAA has also placed a temporary flight restriction in a three-mile stretch over Ferguson.
The FAA said that the restrictions are in place to provide “a safe environment for law enforcement activities.”
