Tyrone Harris Jr., a friend of Michael Brown, was shot during a police-involved shooting in Ferguson overnight. The shooting marred an otherwise peaceful day of protests and remembrance of Michael Brown, who was killed by then-Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson.
Harris, 19, was shot after he fired multiple shots at four St. Louis plain clothes police officers in a SUV. The detectives returned fire, striking the teen, Police Chief Jon Belmar said.
Tyrone Harris Jr.s’ father said, “We think there’s a lot more to this than what’s being said,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Tyrone Sr. said his son recently graduated from Normandy High School, the school where Michael Brown also graduated from.

Here’s a shameful tweet advocating violence against police officers:
Idk… I would probably shoot at someone following me around with guns all night too… #tyroneharris
