Donald Trump-Jeb Bush Squabble Intensifies Over 9/11 Terror Attacks

The Donald Trump-Jeb Bush squabble over George W. Bush being responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks intensified on Sunday. But Bush seems to think that it’s okay to blame President Obama for the Benghazi attack but not his brother for 9/11.

Trump tweeted: “Jeb Bush should stop trying to defend his brother and focus on his own shortcomings and how to fix them. Also, Rubio is hitting him hard!”

He continued to attack Jeb Bush but I wonder if he doesn’t realize this his helping Hillary Clinton:

Jeb Bush told CNN’s Jake Tapper during an appearance on “State of the Union” that he doesn’t believe Trump is going to win the nomination. He added Trump’s support will wane when people see that he doesn’t have the right ideas and judgment to lead the country.

Jake Tapper pressed Bush on defending his brother: “Obviously Al Qaeda was responsible for the terrorist attack of 9/11, but how do you respond to critics who ask, if your brother and his administration bear no responsibility at all, how do you then make the jump that President Obama and Secretary Clinton are responsible for what happened at Benghazi?”

Bush was speechless for a few minutes and then stuttered: “Well I — the question on Benghazi which, is hopefully we’ll now finally get the truth to, is was the place secure? They had a responsibility, the Department of State, to have proper security. There were calls for security, it looks like they didn’t get it. And how was the response in the aftermath of the attack, was there a chance that these four American lives could have been saved? That’s what the investigation is about, it’s not a political issue. It’s not about the broad policy issue, is were we doing the job of protecting our embassies and our consulates and during the period, those hours after the attack started, could they have been saved?”

Bush’s put out a new web ad attacking Trump, saying he’s not serious about becoming our next president.

Jeb Bush’s campaign tweeted: “Our national security isn’t a reality TV show.”
