GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee wants President Obama to close US borders because of Paris attacks.
GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee wants President Obama to cancel the Iran deal and close the US borders because of the Paris terror attacks.
Huckabee fearmongered: “We are clearly not dealing with leashed animals or with a JV team. We’re dealing with a threat to western civilization.” Only, he blames it on the Iran deal. That’s despite Iranian President Hassan Rouhani condemning the attacks and offering his thoughts and prayers to the citizens of France. He tweeted to French President Francois Hollande, that “On behalf of great nation of Iran who’s suffered evils of terrorism I condemn
Mike Huckabee’s Facebook post calling on President Obama to close US borders:
Yesterday morning, President Obama declared that we had “contained ISIS.” Yet a week ago, ISIS murdered 224 people aboard a Russian plane, and now Friday night, Paris was struck by a multi-layered attack that resulted in over 125 people murdered, many more wounded, and a world again left in shock. We are clearly not dealing with leashed animals or with a JV team. We’re dealing with a threat to western civilization. During the debate last week, I stated that we should not admit those claiming to be Syrian refugees and was condemned by the left for that position. I was right and the events in Paris affirm that. Even the far left and politically correct government of France has closed its borders. It’s time for a President who will act to protect Americans, not just talk and protect the image of Islam.
I call for the following:
1. Close our borders instead of Guantanamo.
2. Institute an immediate moratorium on admission to those persons from countries where there is strong presence of ISIS or Al-Qaeda.
3. Build a coalition that will include NATO, Russia, and nations of the Middle East to aggressively destroy ISIS. Nations who refuse to participate will be sanctioned and isolated.
4. Revoke any agreement with Iran regarding their nuclear capacity. Radical Islamists, whether Sunni or Shia, are a clear and present danger to civilization.
Huckabee isn’t the only Republican fearmongering. Sen. Ted Cruz said “If you’re supporting amnesty, you’re supporting the Obama-Clinton weakness and appeasement to radical Islamic terrorism.” George Pataki tried to interject himself into the discussion on Twitter, but was smacked down.
Rick Santorum said “People are dying because this president refuses to face the truth.” He tweeted: “@ is either misinformed, dishonest, delusional or all three. We need to take the fight to #.” Um, you really think a candidate who consistently polls in the low single digits is more informed than POTUS?
Ben Carson response to the Paris attacks was to urge us to recite Psalm 18:28: “You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light,” when there’s chaos around us.
By the way the suspects in the 9/11 terrorist attacks didn’t stream across U.S. borders. They had visas and were here lawfully. Of course, Mike Huckabee’s low-information supporters are calling for Obama’s impeachment for ISIS, oblivious to the fact that we are in this messs because George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice pushed us into an unending war in Iraq on a lie.
