Donald Trump is now says he no longer talks about birtherism, just when black voters are calling him to task for denigrating the nation’s first black president now that he’s pandering for our votes.
WPVI: Matt O’Donnell asked, “You don’t talk about the birth certificate anymore. Do you regret even bringing it up?” “I don’t talk about it anymore. I told you, I don’t talk about it anymore,” Trump said.
It’s not good enough that Donald Trump now wants to run away from this racially-charged movement he led that sought to delegitimize President Obama. Trump also repeatedly made claims that President Obama’s birth certificate was a fake, even demanded his college transcripts and passport application.
Hillary Clinton is trying to the job of the media–force Trump to confront his own words. The media won’t do it. They are allowing him to slide right under the questions about his birtherism.

We remember his tweets quite well, including this gem from 2012: “An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud.”
An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that @BarackObama's birth certificate is a fraud.

The fact that he’s dodging questions on birtherism means it will continue to dog him until the election on Nov. 8. His sidekick Rudy Giuliani says he doesn’t need to apologize to the black community for his comments. Well, we don’t need to listen to him either. This will derail Trump’s attempts to show white voters that he’s not racist.
