Raye was fatally shot in the back on Wednesday during a foot chase. Police claim the teen turned at them twice and pointed a gun. No gun has been found.
CPD Chief Eddie Johnson said at a news conference on Friday, “We were not able to locate a weapon as of yet.”“We have some missing information in our timeline. There are still many unanswered questions,” the Chicago Tribune reports.
The shooting occurred in the 6500 block of South Marshfield. Raye was pronounced dead at the Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
