The Minnesota officer Jeronimo Yanez who shot Philando Castile has been charged with second degree manslaughter in his murder.
Ramsey County, Minn., Attorney John Choi said Castile was not resisting or fleeing, had no criminal intent, movement was restricted by seat belt.
Choi said, Yanez’s statement is “inconsistent” with the statement he made immediately after the shooting.
Yanez also faces two felony counts of discharging his weapon.
Castile’s girlfriend livestreamed the encounter on Facebook after he was shot.
