Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) eviscerates Fox News host Bill O’Reilly after his shameful racist attack on her hair, saying, “I’m a strong black woman and I can’t be intimidated.”
O’Reilly compared Waters’ hair to a James Brown wig during his appearance on Fox & Friends on Tuesday morning. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton blasted O’Reilly for the attack, saying Waters “was taunted with a racist joke about her hair.” “Too many women, especially women of color, have had a lifetime of practice taking precisely these kinds of indignities in stride.”
Veteran black journalist April Ryan was also subjected to “indignities” while doing her job during a tense exchange with White House press secretary Sean Spicer, who scolded her by saying “stop shaking your head.”
Rep. Waters was a guest on MSNBC’s All in with Chris Hayes and didn’t hold back when asked if she wanted to respond to O’Reilly’s racist attack.
