Police confirm the suspected suicide bomber in the Manchester arena attack was 22-year-old Salman Abedi, and a 23-year-old man was also arrested. The attack left 22 dead and 59 injured.
Three of the victims killed in the attack have been identified: John Atkinson, 28, from Bury, Greater Manchester; Saffie Rose Roussos, 8, a student at Tarleton Primary School in Lancashire; and Runshaw College student Georgina Callander, 18.
Abedi was born in Manchester and his “parents were Libyan refugees who came to the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime,” the Telegraph reports.
Ariana Grande suspended her Dangerous Woman tour in the wake of the terror attack. The decision comes less than one day after Abedi blew himself up after Grande had finished performing.
