Kenya’s Supreme Court annuls the presidential election results due to irregularities and has ordered a new election be held within 60 days. Um, so what the heck is going on in America?
Washington Post: Kenya’s Supreme Court on Friday annulled the president’s Aug. 8 reelection victory citing irregularities and ordered a new vote within 60 days.
The reversal of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 54 percent win stunned East Africa’s economic powerhouse and a pillar of stability in the fragile region. It also showcased a independent judiciary willing to stand up to a powerful executive branch.
The 4-2 court ruling came in response to a petition filed by challenger Raila Odinga, 72, who alleged widespread fraud in the election, including the hacking of the electoral commission’s computer system.
Um, I can tell you somewhere else where the election results should have been voided and new elections held — in the US. Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election and helped Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the most shocking upset in a US election. The investigation suggests there was some level of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. If Kenya’s Supreme Court can void an election, what the heck is going on in America?

A new Kenya and Africa have been born. Judiciaries now know that they can challenge mighty presidents fighting against the people's will.
