Dove “deeply regrets” a soap ad showing a black woman turning into a white woman after the company faced backlash. Um, no apology can erase this shameful whitewashing of black women.
Dove removed the Facebook ad that showcased its body wash showing a black woman pulling off her brown T-shirt to reveal a white woman wearing an ivory T-shirt.
On Sunday Dove posted “regrets” on their social media pages. “An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused.”

I’m sorry, but this is a pathetic apology statement from Dove. They casually chocked it up to simply missing the mark. Um, really? Who is the moron or morons that sat in a meeting and approved this ad campaign? They should be fired. Period.
Twitter clapped back:
One racist ad makes you suspect.
Two racist ads makes you kinda guilty. pic.twitter.com/hAwNCN84h2
