Earl Andrews, 23, and Monquiarious Caldwell were killed in a Grambling State University shooting after an altercation in a courtyard around midnight between two dorms, the university’s media relations director Will Sutton said.
The suspect fled the scene following the shooting.
Andrews, 23, a Grambling student, and his friend Caldwell, 23, both of Farmerville, Louisiana.
The university is holding a prayer vigil in the courtyard at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
