Every black NFL player should take a knee on Sunday over Donald Trump’s disrespect of fallen Green Beret Sgt. La David Johnson, his widow and his parents.
Donald Trump called the NFL players taking a knee to protest police brutality and racism, “sons of bitches” who should be thrown off the field and suspended because they’re disrespecting the flag and national anthem. Um, exactly who continues to disrespect our military by picking on former POW Sen. John McCain and attacking Gold Star families?
During a phone call with the family as they traveled to meet his body at the airport, Trump said, “he knew what he signed up for” when he was killed in an ambush in Niger two weeks ago. Myeshia Johnson remarked that Trump didn’t even remember her husband’s name.
Trump denies he made those comments, but the problem for him is that there were more than one people who heard them, loud and clear. He said Rep. Frederica Wilson “fabricated” his comments, but Sgt. Johnson’s mother said Wilson’s account was accurate and that he “disrespected” her family.
#SgtLaDavidJohnson is trending on Twitter as more and more people are offering support for his family and raising money for his children.
Reaction on Twitter:
All you keyboard warriors going on and on about NFL players disrespecting the military when they see our draft dodger President consoling the widow of a fallen soldier by saying “he knew what he signed up for”. Get it yet? Probably not. #SgtLaDavidJohnson #VeteransAgainst pic.twitter.com/LasRDQ9LqG

I'm sorry, President Trump, but you don't qualify for Benefit of the Doubt coverage.
For you, lying was a pre-existing condition. #SgtLaDavidJohnson

“He knew what he signed up for,” were that words told by the supposed commander in Chief to the widow of #SgtLaDavidJohnson. You’re mad at people taking a knee during the anthem but this is how you respect & honor our troops @realDonaldTrump?
