Papa John’s Pizza CEO John Schnatter blames falling sales on black NFL players kneeling during pre-game national anthem and it goes badly on Twitter.

Schnatter said on the third quarter earnings call that he blames “NFL leadership” for the “current debacle” with the players taking a knee to protest racism and police brutality.

Um, maybe Papa John’s should consider that the pizza might be the problem. I have always found the pizza to be mediocre.

Schnatter’s comments come after Houston Texans owner Bob McNair sparked outrage after he referred to the players protesting as “inmates running the prison.”
