Report: Robert Mueller Requests to Question Donald Trump About Flynn and Comey Firings

Special counsel Robert Mueller requests to question Donald Trump about the Flynn and Comey firings, sending shockwaves through the political world on Tuesday as the request shows an intensifying focus on potential obstruction of justice.

Mueller wants to speak with Trump about his decisions to fire national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James B. Comey, who he asked to drop the investigation against Flynn.

The Washington Post reports that “Mueller has also expressed interest in Trump’s efforts to remove Jeff Sessions as attorney general or pressure him into quitting, according to a person familiar with the probe who said the special counsel was seeking to determine whether there was a “pattern” of behavior by the president.”

The news comes as current FBI Director Christopher Wray threatened to resign amid pressure from Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Trump to fire current deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe.

Trump’s friends don’t want him to be directly questioned by Mueller because he is a pathological liar and he will drop lie after lie during any interview. He is in the most jeopardy of anyone who is being investigated in the Russia inquiry.
