Dr. Ronny Jackson’s nomination to lead Veterans Affairs is going down in flames as a Senate committee delays confirmation hearings amid disturbing revelations about his past conduct.
The Senate Veterans Affairs Committee delayed the hearings over allegations he oversaw a hostile work environment as the White House physician, improperly dispensed medication and excessive drinking on the job, an unnamed source told the New York Times.
I guess the excessive drinking explains Jackson’s press conference during which he lied to the American people that Donald Trump weighs 239 pounds and could live for a very, very long time because he’s so healthy.
Donald Trump likes to brag that he hires the best people. Well, he certainly didn’t go about vetting Jackson. Sen. Richard Blumenthal said, “The Senate only received paperwork from the Trump administration formalizing Dr. Jackson’s nomination last week,” the New York Times reports. “It has been really careless, maybe even negligent about the vetting in a number of these nominations, Blumenthal continued.
Of course, Twitter is having a field day as Dr. Ronny Jackson’s nomination goes down in flames:
Ronny Jackson is currently the doctor for the President of the United States. These allegations, if true, would be deeply disturbing and certainly disqualifying for anyone who wants to lead the VA or treat the President. https://t.co/m6ekq0f5im

Trump's pick to lead the VA, Ronny Jackson, is now being investigated for "excessive drinking on the job & improperly dispensing meds". Not only would this prove he's a bad pick, but it would also prove that Trump's admin needs to be heavily medicated in order to work for him.

Two days ago Trump attacked a ‘drunk/drugged up loser’ on Twitter. Will be fascinating to see how he reacts to the allegations of Ronny Jackson’s drinking and excessive prescriptions!

Few things are as morally repugnant and dangerous to the patient as a doctor who drinks on the job. Ronny Jackson should in no way, shape, or form become our nation’s Veterans Affairs Secretary. In fact, he should be fired and his medical license revoked.

This isn’t about the selfish and misguided ambitions of Dr. Ronny Jackson.
The real story is that Trump cares so little about American Veterans that he picked someone totally unqualified to help them.
