Donald Trump tells Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade that the NFL players kneeling and refusing to follow the rules he forced the National Football League to institute, should leave the country. Um, does he mean back to Africa?
POTUS tells Kilmeade re NFL rule against players kneeling during the anthem to protest police brutality: “You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn’t be playing. You shouldn’t be there. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country.”

Trump likes to go to bat for the Second Amendment, offering up more guns as a solution to the wave of mass shootings that have been gripping this country. But First Amendment rights are completely off the table where he’s concerned. He wants law-abiding Americans to be deported if they kneel during the National Anthem at football games. This is incredibly racist because 70 percent of NFL players are black.
You will recall Trump said the black NFL players protesting police brutality and racism should be thrown off the field. In fact, his exact words were, throw that son of a bitch off the field, in reference to Colin Kaepernick.
The New York Times editorial board eviscerated the NFL for kneeling to Donald Trump, a man who has sacrificed nothing for no-one, who proudly proclaimed both sides were to be blamed for the deadly hate-fueled Charlottesville protests.
The editorial boards writes: “Rather than show a little backbone themselves and support the right of athletes to protest peacefully, the NFL capitulated to a president who relishes demonizing black athletes.”
