In a rare moment of having a backbone, House Speaker Paul Ryan warns Donald Trump against self-pardon saying, “no-one is above the law.”
“I don’t know the technical answer to that question, but I think obviously the answer is he shouldn’t.” “And no one is above the law,” Ryan warned Trump.
Ryan sided with Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) demolishing Donald Trump’s spygate claims, saying that the FBI did the right thing when they sent an informant into his presidential campaign to investigate ties to Russia, the New York Times reports.
Paul Ryan says he agrees with Trey Gowdy's debunking of #spygate: "I think the chairman's initial assessment was accurate…. I have seen no evidence to the contrary of the initial assessment that Chairman Gowdy made, but I want to make sure we run every lead." pic.twitter.com/r6gA8miZJW

Reaction on Twitter:
Paul Ryan’s so-called “split” with the president is nothing but a statement of the obvious that Trump is lying. It’s a meaningless gesture as long as Congress does nothing to hold Trump accountable for his deception and deflection. https://t.co/LNIbz0xB3h

BREAKING: Paul Ryan just said the FBI’s use of an informant to contact Trump’s campaign and his associates was completely legal. Trump’s biggest lapdog just turned around and bit him. About time he did something where he chooses country over party, before he resigns in disgrace.

I see Paul Ryan hs finally found his spine now that he's not running for reelection.
Good luck, Paul. The GOP is going to roast you for this one cause they have only one loyalty now.
