Coward Donald Trump says missing Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi isn’t an American citizen, but a permanent resident as he gave Saudi Arabia a pass for barbaric behavior. So much for even a shred of moral leadership from this loudmouth liar.
Trump said that punishing Saudi Arabia for the reporter’s apparent murder is not something he wants to do because they are spending billions in the U.S.
A real profile in cowardice…..
Trump said, “Again, this took place in Turkey, and to the best of our knowledge Khashoggi is not a US citizen, is that right? He’s a permanent resident, okay… as to whether we should stop $110b from being spent in this country, that would not be acceptable to me.”

So, if you are a green card holder, Trump sees you as less important than a citizen. Let that sink in for a minute. This man was kidnapped and most likely murdered, but there is no sense of urgency or any inclination to punish Saudi Arabia because Jamal Khashoggi isn’t an American citizen. Never mind the fact that the majority of the terrorists in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were Saudis. But, they pulled out all the stops for Trump when he visited their country and made him feel really good, so he could care less about what happened to Khashoggi. Sad. Really sad.
More from Twitter:
At the highest levels of the Saudi government, Jamal Khashoggi was considered an “enemy of the people.”
At the highest levels of our government, a hostility to the press and solicitude towards autocrats puts all journalists at risk.
Along with America’s standing in the world.
