Bernie Sanders maybe getting ready to hijack the Democratic Party again in a second presidential bid for the 2020 election, possibly handing Donald Trump a second term. He is reportedly laying the groundwork for an even  “bigger” presidential campaign than his first.

Sanders had a big pow-wow in Vermont last week, which was attended by Clinton-haters such as Nina Turner, Cornel West and Susan Sarandon. Jeff Weaver, Sanders campaign manager, claims that “this time, he starts off as a front-runner, or one of the front-runners.”

Sanders sold himself as a progressive during the 2016 presidential campaign, where he promised a lot of free stuff without any concrete plan to pay for them. In fact, Hillary Clinton’s plans were very progressive, but the media sought to focus on emails, WikiLeaks and the Clinton Foundation. The fact is, there are more progressives vying to become the Democratic presidential nominee this time around — Amy KlobucharBeto O’Rourke, Kamala Harris, Sherrod Brown, Elizabeth Warren (who would be a really weak candidate), etc.

Sanders is an empty suit with scant legislative wins under his belt. For someone who has been in politics for such a long time, his record is pathetic. Screaming free healthcare, Medicare for all, and free college tuition isn’t going to cut it.

I truly believe that the eventual nominee will be a dark horse…not someone who was a fron-trunner in the polls, but someone who comes from the middle of the pack to the top. I believe that person could be Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar or Sherrod Brown. If we’re going to talk about candidates with baggage like Hillary Clinton, the majority of the potential candidates have very little to no baggage at all.

We cannot allow Bernie Sanders to enter the race and muck it up for the Democratic Party again. He is not a Democrat and should not be allowed to hijack the party for a second election. We cannot afford to have Donald Trump win re-election.

As a black woman, I would never, ever support Bernie Sanders, no matter who is on the ticket with him. I despise everything about him, particularly how he dismissed black voters in the South when he lost to Hillary Clinton in blow-out after blow-out in southern states.
