GOP Rep. Mo Brooks compares Donald Trump’s manufactured border crisis to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This is pathetic. There is literally no comparison, but it shows you have many Republicans are willing to go over the cliff with Trump.

GOP strategist Rick Tyler tweeted:  “Congressman @MoBrooks compares “border crisis” with 911.”

Brooks told CNN’s John Berman as he fell apart during the interview:  “Let’s look at 9/11 by way of example. We lost 3,000 people, more or less, on 9/11.”

“That justified going to war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and our troops are still there to varying degrees. 3,000. With the southern border, we have the loss of at least 15,000 Americans a year—that’s justification,” Brooks added.

The terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, was a dark day in America’s history. Mastermind Osama bin Laden directed his thugs to hijack commercial planes and killed thousands. They brought down the Twin Towers at World Trade Center, hit the Pentagon, and one plane crashed in Shanksville, Pa., because a group of passengers took control.

Just when you thought the crazy rhetoric was coming from Donald Trump, Mo Brooks and Lindsey Graham kick it up a notch. There is a rot in the Republican Party that’s beyond words.
