The Harris county sheriff is asking the public for help in the Jazmine Barnes shooting death, as they are on the manhunt for her killer, a white male in his 40s, who was last seen driving a red pickup truck.
LaPorsha Washington, 30, and her four daughters, ages 6 to 15, were driving to get coffee early Sunday morning on Dec. 30 when a red pickup truck pulled up next to them.
Washington said the gunman, in the driver’s seat, opened fire on her car hitting her 7-year-old daughter Jazmine. The little girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Washington, who suffered a gunshot to the arm, said her six-year-old daughter was injured from the shattered glass.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters the shooting was “totally unprovoked” but he did not speculate on a possible motive.
