Rep. Ilhan Omar claps back at Donald Trump’s call for her resignation: “You have trafficked in hate you whole life,” and asked when will he learn from the impact of his words.
Omar tweeted: “You have trafficked in hate your whole life—against Jews, Muslims, Indigenous, immigrants, black people and more. I learned from people impacted by my words. When will you?”

During a press spray before his cabinet meeting, Trump said Rep. Ilhan Omar should resign from the U.S. Congress or step down from the House Foreign Affairs Committee because she tweeted that Jews were all about the “Benjamins” (meaning money) in response to a tweet from The Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald.
Trump’s attack on Omar backfired spectacularly as Twitter blasted him in no uncertain terms for his hypocrisy. He called for Omar’s resignation, yet didn’t bother calling for Rep. Steve King’s resignation.
Trump was even seen on a 2015 video pushing the same stereotype about Jews and money. He also led the racist birther movement against Barack Obama and was sued, along with his father, for housing discrimination in the 1970s.
