Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams says she’s capable of becoming president because of her success in the governor’s race and because she’s a business leader, civic leader and a political leader.
“I will say the presidency wasn’t top of mind to begin with, but I think the success I had in our election, transforming the electorate, the work I’ve done as a business leader, as a civic leader, as a political leader, positions me to be just as capable of becoming the president of the United States as anyone running,” Abrams told CBS News.
“I think the success I had in our election… positions me to be just as capable of becoming the President of the United States as anyone running. My responsibility though, is to make sure I’m running for the right reasons and at the right time.” — @staceyabrams on a 2020 run pic.twitter.com/8ZZq9wW0v2

Abrams recently said she won the governor’s race but just didn’t get to have the job. Brian Kemp was declared the winner by a margin of 55,000 votes. I agree that some shady stuff happened, but Ms. Abrams lost the rural areas by a landslide. I must give her a lot of credit because she defied expectations.
We already have a so-called business leader, Donald Trump, currently running the country…to our detriment. There is nothing wrong with having aspirations of becoming the most powerful person in America and the world, but one has to wonder, how Stacey Abrams would get there. She says she’s been a business leader, but that’s not of a huge company. She led the Georgia State Legislature for several years, but probably wouldn’t carry the state in the general election.
