House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Joe Biden: “Saying I’m sorry I invaded your space, not I’m sorry you were offended is not an apology,” as she weighed in on the allegations of inappropriate touching engulfing the former vice president.
“It’s important for the vice president and and others to understand is it isn’t what was intended it’s how it was received,” Pelosi said. “Join the straight-arm club with me” and treat everyone as if they have a cold and you don’t want to get it,” she added.
Pelosi said that she does not believe the accusations against Biden are disqualifying but called him out nonetheless.
Biden was accused by Bernie Sanders’ Our Revolution board member Lucy Flores of “inappropriately” touching her on the shoulders, smelling her hair and kissing her on the back of the head when he campaigned on her behalf in 2014 when she ran for lieutenant governor of Nevada.
