Sen. Kamala Harris asks the Justice Department’s inspector general to investigate whether Donald Trump pressured Bill Barr to go after his “perceived enemies.”

Harris tweeted: “I’m calling on the DOJ Inspector General to investigate whether the White House improperly ordered or pressured Barr to investigate the president’s perceived enemies.”

“Barr refused to answer this under my questioning in the Senate Judiciary Committee. We need answers.”

Harris’ letter comes after she dismantled Barr dismantled Barr during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. She left him sputtered during their eight-minute exchange when he admitted that he did not read the underlying documents in the Mueller report before he exonerated Trump.
