Former vice president Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris beat Donald Trump in hypothetical matchups in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, as his approval rating rises to 44%.
Trump’s approval rating ticks up five percentage points from April on the strong economy but his disapproval rating sits at 53%. The poll finds that 65% say he is unpresidential and 59% say impeachment proceedings against him should start.
In hypothetical matchups for the general election, Biden leads Trump by 14 points, while Kamala Harris leads him by 8 points, Elizabeth Warren leads him by 7 points, Bernie Sanders leads him by 6 points and Pete Buttigieg by 4 points. It is worth noting that these are national matchups.
Among registered voters, Biden leads Trump by 10 points, while Harris leads him by 4 points. He is tied with Warren and Sanders.
