Twitter claps back hard after Donald Trump claims the US military staying at his Scottish golf club had “nothing to do with me.” “Pay back the money,” one user tweeted.

Trump tweeted: “I know nothing about an Air Force plane landing at an airport (which I do not own and have nothing to do with) near Turnberry Resort (which I do own) in Scotland, and filling up with fuel, with the crew staying overnight at Turnberry (they have good taste!). NOTHING TO DO WITH ME!”

By the way, Trump pledged to make Prestwick airport “very succesful.” There is a tweet for every minute of this shitshow.

“I had nothing to do with the decision of our great Mike Pence to stay overnight at one of the Trump owned resorts in Doonbeg, Ireland. Mike’s family has lived in Doonbeg for many years, and he thought that during his very busy European visit, he would stop and see his family,” he wrote in a second tweet. Also a lie.

Trump’s tweets come after Politico’s Natasha Bertrand broke the news of the US military refueling at Prestwick airport, where there are no military bases nearby, plus staying overnight at his nearby resort despite cheaper accommodations in Glasgow.
